After a day on a packed Bright Angel trail, we were looking for something calmer and Hermit’s Rest seemed like the right place to visit. This trail was way less crowded, allowing us to admire the canyon in solitude
This trail is one of the most accessible ones in the park. It takes you through a small part of the Rim-to-Rim trail, so we got to experience at least some of it.
I definitely have a soft spot for mountain lakes đ It is a great option if you only have a day in Sequoia NP and you’d like to spend it high up in the mountains.
Mist Falls day hike offers pretty nice views of the Kings Canyon peaks, even if only for a day.
We decided to hike across Madeira instead of doing a few day hikes and driving around by car. Besides, the island seemed to be small enough to start on one side and finish on the other within the 5 days we had.
This trail is truly spectacular, awarding the hikers a chance to admire the Alpine views throughout the whole hike. But beware, it’s not for the faint hearted…
This hike is my come-back to the Pyrenees and to the GR10. It was also an early come-back – early June. We chose this route as we had only a few days to hike and needed a good public transport connection with Toulouse.Â
Luxembourg doesn’t come into one’s mind easily. However, I’d say it’s a hidden European treasure for early spring and late autumn walks. While the big mountains will be covered in snow, Luxembourg trails will welcome you probably any time of the year.
